Woodward Avenue Records are very proud to announce that we have signed the well-known California based band, “DW3,” to the label and look forward to the release of a brand new album in 2014.
DW3, as you may know, stands for “Down With 3.” Those “3″ incredible talents are Eric Mondragon, Billy Mondragon and DaMon Reel. DW3 has served as a very special guest band at Spaghettini in Seal Beach, CA for many years and has been one of the hottest and most in-demand groups anywhere in the country (or on the 7 seas) over the past few years.
Complimented by some of the best musicians on the planet, DW3 is very much poised to hit the big time. “Honestly, we’ve been wanting to sign DW3 for a long, long time. We are so happy that we now have the opportunity to enjoy a great partnership and a great future together”, said Woodward Avenue spokesperson Larry Gonzales.
This L.A. based band has been entertaining for over a decade.
Eric, William & Damon are the 3 harmonious voices that bring this high energy R&B jazz and Latin Soul band to life. DW3 is comprised of outstanding musicians which consist of Keyboards, Percussion, Drums, Bass and Guitar.
Recent venues consist of City of lights jazz fest, Gaslamp jazz fest, Newport Jazz Festival, Jazz Fest West, Long Beach jazz fest, Thorton Winery, Ponte Winery, Spaghettini Jazz Club, The House of Blues, BB Kings and The Vault 350.
For the last four years DW3 has had the pleasure of performing on the Warren Hill, Wayman Tisdale and Dave Koz Jazz Cruises.
Every year, to show their support and appreciation, DW3 performs for our US troops in Afghanistan, Iraq, Asia and throughout Europe.
Eric, William and Damon have also had the pleasure of singing backgrounds with Marcus Miller, Evelyn “Champagne” King George Duke, Brenda Russell, Patti Austin, Jonathon Butler, Bobby Caldwell, Brian McKnight, David Pack (Ambrosia), The Avila Bros and many more.
