
Ms. Aversano began her career in the transportation and relocation industry in 1981 when she joined a commercial moving company in New York City as an Office Manager. As Ms. Aversano’s knowledge and experience of the business grew, so did her realm of responsibilities. In 1983, Ms. Aversano was charged to open two new branch locations for her firm in New Jersey and Georgia. After the successful launch of these two locations, Ms. Aversano was promoted to General Manager where she built a reputable portfolio of prominent clients. In 1991, Ms. Aversano joined Victory Van Lines, a large agent for United Van Lines in the northeast to expend her knowledge into broader aspects of the relocation industry. Ms. Aversano’s position in the company quickly advanced from the Associate Operations Manager for Household Goods Relocations to a Senior Associate of National Accounts.
In 1993, Ms. Aversano joined Ryder System, Inc., a fortune 500 transportation industry leader to help them launch and support their new full-service, corporate relocation product line, Ryder Move Management (RMM). Ms. Aversano’s hands-on experience in the moving industry proved to be invaluable. Over the next six years, she held progressively responsible positions including Operations Supervisor and Manager of Training & Performance. As Ryder exited from the full-service relocation industry in 1999, Ms. Aversano joined Armstrong Relocation, a long standing and prominent agent of United Van Lines as their Manager of Corporate Services.
In 2002, Ms. Aversano was presented with an opportunity to purchase her own moving company, Derays Moving & Storage in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. For the next six years, Ms. Aversano established a pristine reputation in the marketplace and built a successful and profitable business. In 2008, Ms. Aversano divested her interests in DeRays. In 2009, Ms. Aversano re-joined Armstrong Relocation as the Vice President of National Account Sales where she was responsible for growing their Household Goods, Office and Industrial, International, Logistics, Local and COD business lines. For the past five years, Ms. Aversano was able to grow her operation into United van Lines “Top 20 Booker” ranks with one of the highest sales and performance in the industry.
Ms. Aversano has a strong reputation as a transportation, relocation and logistics expert, as well as a savvy business professional. In 2014, Ms. Aversano started a new business venture called Strategic Logistics & Relocation Solutions, Inc. where she holds the position of Chief Operating Officer and President. With Ms. Aversano’s entrepreneurial style, hard driving work ethic and experience in building successful businesses from the ground up, there is no doubt this new company will be a resounding success.
