Entrepreneur Amy Wees Featured on Business Innovators Radio Discussing the “Shark Tank Audition” For “SiftEase” Litter Box Cleaning Invention

During this interview Wees explains how SiftEase saves the day for cat parents by eliminating litter box odors, saving them time and money. She talks about her company Clean Litter Club, a retail brand, and now it has 10 successful products on the market for both dogs and cats. Wees also announced the good news that SiftEase has become a #1 brand on Amazon and is getting great reviews.

San Antonio entrepreneur Amy Wees was recently invited to audition for Shark Tank with her new invention to clean the cat litter box, SiftEase.

This audition was not her first go at Shark Tank. In June of 2017 early in the invention process, Wees was eager to share her idea with the Sharks and bought tickets to fly to Los Angeles to wait in the long lines at an open casting call, hoping to get a chance to pitch. However, being a big fan of the show and studying many episodes of the entrepreneurs who got deals, Wees realized she wasn’t far enough along in the process and needed first to grow her brand and get some initial sales before applying to the show.

Fast forward one year later 2018 and Clean Litter Club has great products on the market, and SiftEase is launched. So,  Wees’ friend tagged her in the Facebook post about the July 15th Shark Tank casting call in San Antonio. The event was in just two days, but Wees applied anyway, hoping to be accepted to audition now that SiftEase was patent pending and her brand Clean Litter Club had product sales and a following.

Now Wees is ready for the San Antonio auditions that were held Sunday, July 15th, 2018 in front of Shark Tank casting directors as part of the Shark Tank Diversity Tour at the Convention Center. This event gave entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their idea on a first come, first serve basis with an approved application required. In line with Wees’ fears of being too early in the process to audition in 2017, the event website mentioned “Shark Tank occasionally features entrepreneurs who have a “good idea,” but the vast majority of entrepreneurs that appear on the show display traction through user acquisition, sales, and/or intellectual property protection. We look forward to seeing you pitch your business.”  https://sharktankdiversitytour.com/sanantonio/

During the interview, Wess shared, how that the morning of the auditions came and she hadn’t heard anything. Wees and her husband went to the event anyway, hoping to get a spot, and suddenly got the email that she had been chosen from thousands of applicants to audition! “It was such an exhilarating experience to take a chance and go to the event and receive the invitation and time slot while I was there waiting,”  Wess commented.

According to Wees, the pitch went well as she highlighted the Benefits Of SiftEase eliminating litter box odors, cleaning the litter box fast and mess-free, and allowing the litter to be used over and over again, saving customers time and money. Wees is waiting to hear from Shark Tank about being flown to Los Angeles to pitch the sharks. In the meantime, Clean Litter Club is continuing to grow and develop more great products for the home and pets, and SiftEase comes to market next week!

“It was a great opportunity to pitch my brand and my invention and network with other inventors and entrepreneurs. I hope to get a chance to be on Season 18, but if not, I’m excited to bring a great product to the market that solves a real problem for cat lovers with a stinky litter box to clean” Wess stated

When asked, ”What do you hope to do with SiftEase and the Clean Litter Club?”  Wess answered,” I hope to make life easier for cat parents. So many pets are surrendered each year for behavioral or pet problems. I know that the litter box and the odor is a major pain point. I hope I can get SiftEase to all the shelters easily helping volunteers clean all of those litter boxes. I hope to reduce the amount of litter waste in the environment. Most of all, I hope more people will consider cats as pets when the litter box isn’t as much of a threat anymore. As for Clean Litter Club, I want to continue making great products for the families with furry members.

Now because of her tremendous success, Wees has started a Facebook Page called  “Amazing At Home” mentoring and coaching other entrepreneurs helping them bring successful products to the market or bring dying products back to life and now has over 400 members.
