City Spots, NYC: The Mayor’s Alliance for NYC Animals & The Petco Foundation Partner for Pet-Lover “Extravaganza,” Adoptapalooza 2017

Adoptapalooza, the “original NYC mega Pet adoption event,” brought fun and Pet-loving activity to New York City locals and tourists at Union Square Park. 30+ Alliance Participants, New York City Animal Rescue Groups and Animal Shelters made 300+ dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and rabbits available. Fun-filled activities included The Mayors Alliance and Petco with free photos for People with their Pets. A Kids Korner had Lorelei Arts caricature portraits and temporary tattoos and face-painting by The Cheeky Chipmunk.The Besto App, for patrons to find a pet for home. Petco certified Trainers and Merrick Pet Care dog-training field gave physical fun. Other NYC Animal Organizations were the NYC Feral Cat Initiative, Wild Dog Foundation, Wild Bird Fund, and Pets for Vets. Emergency Preparedness for People with Pets, NYC dog licensing, free pet food samples, other products and information from pet-related vendors were also provided.
