On September 22nd, CEO’s, Safety Professionals and people from all around the world and as far away as New Zealand converged into Houston, TX. to attend this much-anticipated event located at the DoubleTree by Hilton at 15747 John F Kennedy Blvd.
Brian Fielkow is the CEO of Jetco delivery in Houston. The daylong event covered topics of safety and culture building processes for transportation companies and others. Other speakers were the Honorable Robert L. Sumwalt, III, Former Vice Chair and current Board Member, NTSB. Also speaking was 1967 West Point Graduate and Astronaut Mike Mullane, who completed three space missions aboard the Shuttles Discovery (STS-41D) and Atlantis (STS-27 & 36). Also Deborah A. P. Hersman, President & CEO, National Safety Council.
One of the highlights was when Heidi Jenkins, Life Changer Advocate spoke about the loss of her husband to a traffic collision with a large commercial truck while stopped.
She has devoted her life to bringing awareness around the importance of putting safety first and the power that resides with one person.
