Summer is the peak of wedding season as the temperate climate allows for a bride to create the wedding of her dreams in just about any venue, flowers are readily available and friends can often use holiday time to attend the festivities. Because of this, some brides are caught by surprise if they leave some decisions to the last minute, decisions like hair and makeup.
Many salons now offer bridal packages where they will set aside as much time and as many stylists necessary to style the hair of a bride and her entire party. Some of these are more lavish offerings with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Other salons provide mineral water and fresh fruit.
Makeup might also be another offering of your salon, so be sure to ask when you call ahead about a bridal preparation package. If your salon does not have a makeup artist, you might be allowed to bring one of your own. In this way, brides and their bridal parties are able to spend precious time together ahead of the ceremony.
The best way to plan for this type of an event is to call your salon as far in advance as possible and ask to speak to the manager in charge of scheduling such events. Every salon will have different scheduling requirements as they want to be able to serve every bride and her bridal party as comfortably as possible while providing their usual excellent service. They will need to know the date and time of your wedding, how many will require hair styling and/or makeup application services. Some salons even offer manicures and pedicures. Many salons love to have wedding parties come in for their pre-wedding preparation, it gives them the opportunity to celebrate too.
