Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce President Mike Quaintance Reports 67% Increase to COC Website

In what is surely to be exciting news for business owners in Southwest Florida, Cape Coral Chamber President Mike Quaintance reports that the Chamber of Commerce is seeing a huge uptick in inquiries over the past year.

‘We have seen a 67% increase of visitors to our website and a 37% increase of phone calls over the last year.” said Quaintance.

According to Quaintance, in today’s global society, consumers are more internet savvy than ever before and they’re specifically looking for a business that they can trust. One of the places they look to find a business that they can trust is the Chamber of Commerce.

“When a new or existing business becomes a member of the Chamber of Commerce, they’ll be able to establish genuine credibility by displaying the Chamber of Commerce logo on their website and marketing materials, which is very powerful” said Quaintance.

Quaintance has led the Chamber through dynamic growth, taking the membership from 500 members in 1997 to over 1,000 members in 2006. The budget of the Chamber has grown from $200,000 to a current budget of $750,000 under his leadership.

When asked how he has been able to lead the Chamber of Commerce successfully through such economic uncertainty over the last few years, Quaintance says, “I think it’s all about building relationships and team building. When times get tough you really need those relationships to help leverage your continued success. I often tell our volunteers and board of directors that we can only accomplish half of what we accomplish as an organization. However, because of their generous investment of time, treasure, and talent, we’re able to actually double the efforts of our organization.”
