Alan Schnur and Dave Anderson, owners of Hot Ocean Property Managment, have an impressive combination of executive experience coupled with a combined 50 years of owning and managing real estate.
Alan Schnur’s operations expertise was honed in various positions from building trading platforms to founding, running, and ultimately selling his energy trading company.
His real estate experience began approximately 20 years ago purchasing, rehabbing, and repositioning properties in Hoboken, NJ. Following his move to Houston, he acquired approximately 120 single family homes before starting to invest in multifamily properties. He currently owns approximately 100 single families as well as owning and/or controlling over 1,300 units.
Dave Anderson’s real estate career began early, making his first profit on a single family rehab at age 16. Over the next 30+ years he has held a variety of corporate executive management positions while continuing to invest in and manage real estate. In his corporate career, he has had positions with over 230 employees, P&L responsibility for a business unit with over 6000 clients and $150M in revenue, and strategic responsibility for a $600M business unit. He has bought, rehabbed and sold approximately 100 single family houses for his own account and currently both individually and together with Mr. Schnur owns or controls upwards of 1000 units in Houston and Southern California.
Alan Schnur was recently Honored by Houston Mayor Parker and City Council for Hot Ocean Property Management’s commitment to providing affordable, quality housing for Houston families when they contributed their services in helping nine Houston families relocate from an apartment complex that was being considered for the condemnation list.
Mr. Schnur stated, “Everyone needs a place to call Home”, when asked about his company’s role in the relocation residents.
Dave Anderson said, “Although landlords are in business to make a profit, it’s still a people business and I’m happy we can provide a Win-Win-Win situation for our clients, the city and these families”.
