The new inspirational book tells the heart wrenching story of dealing with the loss of Proulx’s daughter, Katie Proulx, at 29 years of age, to cancer.
“Losing a child is probably the worst thing that can happen to any parent. However, people can experience many types of tragedies depending on their situations. If a parent gets ill with Alzheimer’s or any other disease, that can be a tragedy for the child as well as the parent. Yet when another person loses a pet, that can be a tragedy for him or her. We all experience some type of tragedy, sometimes many, during our lifetime. My most recent tragedy was the loss of a child. In the book, I discuss my faith as connected to the tragedy,” said best selling author Marilyn Proulx.

Proulx is from Manchester, NH. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Service. It was here that she met her husband of 38 years, Andre Proulx. Marilyn is a wife, mother and 3 years ago became a grandmother, which she feels is one of her biggest blessings in this life. The family relocated to Fort Myers, Florida in 1987 where Marilyn became employed as a School Social Worker for 18 years. She also co-authored (along with her husband), a business leadership book that became a #1 best seller on Amazon. Marilyn lost her daughter 8 years ago to melanoma cancer. Marilyn had a dream one night she feels was divine intervention, that dream has compelled her to write her new best-selling book about the experience.
